Top Women in Mobility
Presented by Smarter Mobility Africa
Mobility is still a male-dominated industry, however at Smarter Mobility Africa we notice and celebrate the women in the sector who work hard to advance mobility across Africa.
In light of International Women’s Day we see it fit to celebrate women in mobility by giving them a spotlight.
“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.” – Oprah Winfrey
In the same breath we believe our top women in mobility play an imperiative role in transforming mobility by encouraging and challenging more inclusive mobility for vulnerable groups or poverty stricken communities. A smarter mobility Africa for all means better jobs, efficient transport, access to essential services and an opportunity to improve our lifestyle.
And let us not forget, most women in the world find it harder to travel than men. As a result, they have fewer opportunities, and when they do travel, they face more mobility barriers than men in accessing and using transport. Which makes the role of women in building a smarter mobility Africa even more important.
