Electrification is the viable solution to address the woes of Africa’s energy crisis. Electric vehicles are the unsung hero of powering the grid. Smarter Mobility Africa summit, co-located with Enlit Africa (7-9 June), explored the role of the electrification of corporate and government fleets as a way forward to powering a city the smart way.

Ben Pullen, Founder & Chairman of Smarter Mobility Africa, spoke to ESI’s Editor, Nicolette Pombo-Van Zyl about challenges facing fleet managers to transition to electric vehicles. Pullen further unpacked the misconceptions around “range anxiety” and lack of infrastructure which he considers to be perceptive challenges and not factual challenges.
