Project Coordinator, UN Environment’s Share the Road Programme
Janene Tuniz is a Project Coordinator for the UN Environment’s Share the Road Programme based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Programme, which forms part of the Sustainable Mobility Unit, aims to create benefits for the environment, road safety and accessibility by working with governments and other stakeholders to prioritize investment in infrastructure for people that walk and cycle. Her work is focused on Sub Saharan Africa and involves researching and prioritising the needs of vulnerable groups and engaging with stakeholders to adopt and/or implement low greenhouse gas and sustainable transport strategies.
Janene holds an LL.M. in Law and Sustainable Development from the University of Milan and a Bachelors of Law from the University of Pretoria.
