Regional Head: Dealer Relationships, ABSA Vehicle and Asset Finance
Fulu Mandane is head of dealer relationships for Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance’s Gauteng and Limpopo region – a portfolio that locates him at the coalface of sustainable partnerships between the vehicle retail market and asset finance.
A seasoned and dynamic professional, Fulu’s career trajectory since joining Absa in 2008 has seen him rise through the ranks assuming senior roles in the key areas of personal loans, taxi industry finance and relationships with major OEMs. He has also served at Ford Credit. Fulu spearheaded Absa’s involvement in the establishment of BAIC Automotive and BAIC Financial Services in South Africa.
He is passionate about development. This is reflected in the taxi portfolio where he was instrumental in the development of Zola Taxi Rental, the first taxi industry owned dealership. He also led the formulation of a taxi rental product as well as various taxi development funds in collaboration with minibus manufacturers to encourage lending to taxi operators.
Fulu holds various qualifications in banking and business and is an MBA candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand.
