Louise is a lawyer specializing in Energy & Extractives, Projects & Infrastructure, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Project Finance. She has over 10 years’ experience spanning Finance and Energy – the electricity subsector in particular, having worked as a Corporate banker at Kenya’s largest bank – KCB Bank, as an in-house Commercial Legal Counsel at Kenya Power and in private legal practice. She has notably been involved in the formulation and review of various national policies touching on the electricity sub-sector and public infrastructure projects.
Louise is currently Lead Consultant at Gennis Consulting providing Regulatory, Policy & Legal Advisory services and is very active within the Renewable Energy, E-mobility, Climate Change and Sustainability spaces. She is a member of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Energy & Extractives, Transport & Infrastructure and Environment Sector Boards, as well as the African Women in Energy Development Initiative (AWEDI) Network, where she also volunteers as a mentor. Louise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Master of Laws degree in International Trade & Investments Law.
